Registration Information

We will notify you by email early November when registration is open. The e-mail will contain registration instructions.

Before you begin the registration process, please coordinate with your employer to avoid duplicating your registration. Please register no later than January 25, 2019.

Check in at the registration desk to obtain your registration packet and name badge for you and your guest(s). Registration is located in the Convention Registration Area of the Washington Marriott Wardman Park on the Lobby Level adjacent to the Front Desk.

Registration hours are as follows:

Thursday, February 7, 2019, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday, February 8, 2019, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 9, 2019, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Hotel Reservations:

You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations for your stay at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

The conference is being held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel – 2660 Woodley Rd NW, Washington, DC 20008

You must make your hotel reservation by January 22, 2019 in order to receive the special discounted conference rates. Discounted rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be available after January 22, 2019.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Hotel Room Rates: $181 per night (single/double occupancy)

Transportation: 

The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is distance approximately 7 miles from the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. (Taxi $30, Shuttle $14)

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) distance approximately 34 miles from the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. (Taxi $88, Shuttle $39)

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) distance is approximately 24 miles from the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. (Taxi $60, Shuttle $29)

Photo Guidelines:

If you have not yet submitted a photograph, please submit a recent high-resolution photograph that may be used in our US Black Engineer & Information Technology (USBE) magazine and/or the Conference Guide.

To ensure the quality of our publications, Career Communications has established the following guidelines for photographs:

Quarter body shots are preferred over headshots. Try to show the subject comfortably in a familiar environment. Please avoid bright backgrounds areas.

Acceptable photo formats:

  • Color photographs – maximum size “5 X 7”; minimum size “4 X 6”
  • Digital photographs (high resolution only) and a minimum 300 dpi resolution
  • JPEG or TIFF format
  • Additionally, please save all digital pictures with your “firstname_lastname” file type, such as “John_Doe.jpg.”
  • Send photos via e-mail to nominations@ccgmag.com.
