Women of Color Magazine Fall Conference Edition

The Women of Color STEM Conference is a multicultural event that hosts roughly 4,000 technologists, engineers, scientists and students. The three-day event serves as the perfect place for networking, mentoring opportunities, and to attend professional development seminars. The conference also hosts several recognition dinners and gala, where STEM professionals and Rising Stars are honored for their accomplishments.

Despite considerable progress over the past couple of decades for underrepresented minority groups and women earning bachelor's degrees in engineering and computer fields, the gap in educational attainment between young minorities and whites continues to be wide. The percentage of the population ages 25-29 with bachelors or higher degrees was 19% for blacks, 12% for Hispanics, and 37% for whites.

  • Are distributed to 244 colleges and universities, including Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) and the Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs)
  • reach 67% of all enrolled science and engineering minority students
  • reach 8,000 professionals, including community and corporate leaders
